Start at El Gran Museo del Mundo Maya located near the Hotel Zone's heart, accessible by taxi or Uber (5-minute ride from the airport). After exploring the museum, head straight to Puerto Juarez Sunset Strip via a 20-minute taxi ride along Av. Tulum. Once there, hire another cab for the short 10-minute trip south to Punta Nizuc Beach for the underwater museum.
La Cevichería Cancún - Calle 47 No. 56 x 3a y 5a Avenida Norte, Zona Hotelera. This restaurant offers a quick yet delicious selection of ceviche and seafood platters perfect for a brief meal break between activities.
Visit the Plaza La Isla near the Hotel Zone during your transit to Puerto Juarez or back from the underwater museum. It’s an indoor shopping mall with numerous food courts, retail stores, and cinemas – ideal if you need quick souvenirs or are running behind schedule and can't make it to all top spots.
Transport: Taxis and Ubers are readily available at Cancún International Airport (CUN). A cab from the airport to El Gran Museo del Mundo Maya costs around 20 USD.
Timing Tips: To maximize your time, allocate 1 hour for each of the top three destinations. Start early in the morning before the crowds arrive and consider visiting the museum first as it’s closest to the airport. The underwater museum may require a bit more time if you decide to go snorkeling or diving; otherwise, viewing from the surface offers great visuals without needing gear.
