2. Gateway of India

An architectural marvel built to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary in 1911, this iconic arch stands as a symbol of Mumbai's colonial past and its maritime heritage.
3. Marine Drive

Often referred to as the "Queen’s Necklace," Marine Drive is a scenic promenade lined with palm trees where you can take in panoramic views of the Arabian Sea and enjoy a leisurely stroll.
Start your journey from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, located near Mumbai Central. Head towards the Gateway of India via the railway station and Elphinstone Road (about 15 minutes by auto-rickshaw). From there, walk south along Apollo Bunder to reach Marine Drive in approximately 10 minutes.
Gulab Juice

Known for its refreshing fruit juices and fresh lemonade, Gulab Juice is a must-visit spot. Their strawberry juice and jaljeera (spiced tamarind drink) are local favorites that won't take more than 15 minutes to grab.
While the Gateway of India is bustling with tourists, head around to the side facing the Arabian Sea at sunset for a quieter vantage point. It’s here where you’ll get an uninterrupted view of the sea and some excellent photo opportunities without the crowds.
Transport: Taxis and auto-rickshaws are readily available from the airport, with a ride to central Mumbai costing around ₹500 (as of late 2023).
Timing Tips: Given the short window of time, start your day early. Aim for a morning arrival at CSMVS around 9:00 AM, spend about an hour there, then move on to Gateway of India and Marine Drive by mid-morning.
Admission Fees: CSMVS charges ₹250 (as of late 2023) for adults; children under 12 years enter free.
