TOJI INARI SHRINE

OSAKA CASTLE PARK

Osaka Castle is the central landmark of Japan’s commercial capital, offering panoramic views from its towering keep. The park around it includes historical exhibits and beautiful gardens, a perfect blend of old and new Osaka.
Begin your journey at Osaka Station or Kansai Airport, taking the JR Loop Line to Tsuruhashi Station (approx. 25 minutes). From there, switch to the JR Kyoto Line bound for Shijo Station in Kyoto (10-15 minutes) to visit Toji Inari Shrine. After about an hour at the shrine, head back towards Osaka via Shijo Station and then take the subway Midosuji line to Namba Station, where you can walk directly into Dotonbori (approx. 20 minutes). Spend around 1-1.5 hours exploring Dotonbori’s lights and food stalls before heading to Nishi-Umeda Station, taking the JR Loop Line or Osaka Metro to Osaka Castle Park for your final stop.
Aizuya

Aizuya is a popular izakaya chain known for its affordable and delicious Kyoto-style sushi. Their hot sake is also a must-try for warming up during cooler months while exploring Osaka’s lively streets.
Osaka Castle Park hosts the Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan, which, though outside your 3-hour window, offers stunning views of marine life and the castle itself reflected in its glass tanks. If you have more time or are planning a longer stay, this is an excellent addition to your itinerary.
Transport from Kansai Airport: Take the JR Haruka Express Train (¥1,370) directly to Osaka Station.
From Osaka Station/Umeda Station, take the subway Midosuji line or JR Loop Line to Toji Inari Shrine and Dotonbori. The cost for a single ride is around ¥250-300.
