Quick Facts

Best Time to Visit

The Dolomites are best visited from June through October when the weather is mild and trails are clear of snow. Mid-July through September provides the perfect balance between manageable temperatures and vibrant wildflower displays.

Getting There

To reach the Dolomites, fly into Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE) or Verona Villafranca International Airport (VRN), both approximately 3-4 hours away by car. Alternatively, Treviso Sant'Angelo Airport (TRV) is a smaller option closer to Belluno, offering quick access via bus or train.

3 Insider Tips

  1. Start early in the day to beat the crowds and maximize your hiking time before evening.
  2. Carry plenty of water and snacks as some trails can be long with limited services along the way.
  3. Consider a Dolomiti Superscie Card for unlimited access to cable cars, buses, and trains across 17 valleys.

Gear & Preparation

Ensure you have sturdy hiking boots with good ankle support and traction, as well as layers of clothing adaptable to changing weather conditions. Don't forget your camera for capturing the breathtaking views!
